WHO: Tabatha Renner

WHAT HAPPENS: Florida heat. Palm shadow falling across a weathered community board outside a corner market. Flyers layered three deep. One poster, fresh, stapled over the rest: THE TRIPLE. $500,000 PRIZE PURSE. THREE-PERSON TEAM RELAY. ONE ARENA. ONE RACE. In small print: PHYSICAL CONTACT PERMISSIBLE WITHIN LANES. PURSE PAID ON CLEARED FUNDS FOLLOWING FINAL RESULTS CERTIFICATION. Tabatha Renner (20, dancer's carriage, hood up, headphones in) slows just long enough to photograph the poster on her phone. Then she's gone: just another face on the sidewalk, no reason for anyone to connect her to anyone.
